Google Photos Setup

To activate Google Photos as an image source within the design tool, several steps need to be completed.

Firstly, you want to create a Google API Console project and client id: https://developers.google.com/identity/oauth2/web/guides/get-google-api-clientid

You'll be 'calling from' a Web Browser and you need to input the domain you will be making request from, so the domain of your Pixfizz storefront.

Once you have completed the 2 questions from Google, you will receive a Client ID, which needs to be copied and pasted into your storefronts Super Admin panel. You will find the 'Google OAuth 2' field scrolling down the left hand side.

Below are 4 screenshots showing the required settings and content to have prepared in order for Google to provide your Client ID the necessary access to fetch photos via their API.

Finally, you must reference google_photos within the Image Sources on your Design Tool Configuration.

With that complete and settings and permissions setup correctly in your Google Cloud account, you should now be able to select images from Google Photos via the Design Tool.
