Profile Setup

Profiles (or jobs) are setup to copy or move files from the source to the destination. Typically the source (ie Pixfizz FTP) will be on the Left and the Destination (ie your local file storage) will be on your Right.

Before you start, we suggest you obtain your FTP account details from Pixfizz and setup your local storage for files. Typically this will be in the following structure: Pixfizz -> Artwork -> PDF Job Tickets

Artwork will be moved from Pixfizz FTP into their own folders in "Artwork" and PDF Job tickets will be move to "PDF Job Tickets"

Switch to advanced mode as highlighted below

Create a new profile by clicking on the Green + Then enter a Profile name and select "Internet". This is where you will add the FTP Details

Enter your FTP username and password and the FTP URL as shown (you will only need to do this once). Untick "Secure Transfer". Ensure "Secure Transfer" is unticked and "Passive Mode" is ticked.

Next click on the folder icon to connect to the FTP and select the root folder.

A pop up will appear - select the artwork folder

Select OK - The modal will close and you should see as per below. Click on OK.

The Left Hand Side is now set up

Click on "Browse" on "Right-Hand" Side and select the destination folder on your local infrastructure.

Click on "Select Folder"

Next click on "Move Files to Destination" and then "Configure"

A popup will appear - select the options shown below

When moving Artwork folders we need to remove emptied folders from the FTP. Select "Folders", Ensure the folders are selected as shown below.

The profile needs to be setup to run on a schedule. In "Advanced Settings" click ion schedule, tick schedule and then enter "Repeat After" details as shown (You can alter the time between runs).

To setup other Profiles you will need to repeat the above process. This will typically needed to be done for PDF Job Tickets and Darkroom Instruction files.

Darkroom

For Darkroom we Pass through a "Darkroom Instruction File". This will need to be sent to a Darkroom hotfolder. Inside this file we will pass through the size, substrate and QTY of each photo Print.

It is essential that before this instruction file is moved, that the artwork files are transferred to the destination folder in the local infrastructure.

Please contact Pixfizz support to get the Darkroom Instruction file" setup. You will need to provide the path to your Artwork files from our local infrastructure.

Once you have setup your Profile for Darkroom then you need to modify it to run after the Artwork profile has run. Select "Job" in advanced settings and click on "Execute command or script before / after"

A Popup will appear as shown below. In the "After field" enter "RUN PROFILE [your artwork profile name] - so if your profile name is Artwork it will need to be as shown.

Click on OK
