# Hide a page from Search Engine Crawls

You can hide any page from being crawled by search engines by placing a tag within the `<head>` of a page.

```
<meta name="robots" content="noindex">
```

For more flexibility we suggest adding it as a custom field on the Pages, so you can have it like this:

```
{% if page.custom.no_index %}<meta name="robots" content="noindex">{% endif %}
```

You must also create a **custom field** on **pages** called '**no\_index**' and type '**boolean**' for the above solution to work.

Another common solution to avoid certain pages getting crawled by search engines is to edit the **robots.txt.** Currently it **isn't possible** to edit the robots.txt on the Pixfizz CMS on individual storefronts.
