# Fulfillment Code on Template

**Fulfillment code can now be set on individual templates.**

Previously, fulfillment codes were only set based on order location (which destination should receive production assets). Now you can also assign a fulfillment code directly to a Template — and it takes priority over everything else, including location-based fulfillment codes.

**What can you do with it?**

* Force a specific template's orders to always route to a particular fulfillment destination, regardless of where the order is placed from
* Guarantee consistent routing for templates that require a specific vendor or production line (e.g. specialty finishes, a single-source product)
* Simplify fulfillment logic for edge-case templates without having to rework your location-based rules

**Priority order**

Fulfillment code resolution now follows this hierarchy, highest priority first:

1. **Template-level fulfillment code** — if set, this always wins
2. **Location-based fulfillment code** — used only if no template-level code is set

**Getting started**

1. Open the relevant **Template** in admin.
2. Find the **Fulfillment Code** field.
3. Enter the code for the destination you want this template's orders to always route to.
4. Save — orders using this template will now route to that destination, overriding any location-based rule.

> ⚠️ Because template-level codes override everything, double-check you actually want every order of this template routed the same way — regardless of the customer's location — before setting it.
