# What is OrderHub?

OrderHub is the production management platform for everything that happens after an order is placed. It handles order intake, production tracking, customer notifications, shipping, and file delivery — all from a single interface.

### Overview

OrderHub consists of two parts:

* **OrderHub Web** — a browser-based application for managing orders, production workflows, shipping, film scan delivery, customer notifications, inventory, and reporting.
* **OrderHub Desktop** — a Windows desktop companion that sits in the system tray and handles automated file downloading, pre-print image review, film scan uploading, XML order imports, and printer routing.

Together, they replace manual production workflows with a connected system that takes an order from confirmation through to collection or shipment.

### What OrderHub Does

* **Receives orders** from your Pixfizz storefront via webhook. Orders arrive in OrderHub within seconds of being placed.
* **Organizes production** using a Kanban-style production board. Jobs are grouped by process (e.g. lab prints, dye sub, wide format, film processing) and tracked through custom statuses.
* **Downloads files** to your production floor automatically via the desktop app, with AI-assisted quality checks before printing.
* **Manages film scans and file uploads** — process film, upload scans (manually or automatically), and deliver digital files to customers via branded gallery links.
* **Ships orders** with integrated shipping (EasyPost), including prepaid return labels for mail-in services like film processing.
* **Notifies customers** at each stage — order received, in production, ready for pickup, shipped — with customizable email templates.
* **Tracks inventory** for physical products with reorder levels and stock alerts.
* **Reports on demand** via an integrated Claude AI plugin for sales metrics, stock reports, and daily briefings.

### Who Uses It

OrderHub is designed for photo labs and print production businesses. Typical users include:

* **Lab operators** — use the production board and desktop app daily to process, review, and print orders.
* **Store managers** — use the ship desk, customer order views, and reporting to oversee operations.
* **Business owners** — use dashboards, inventory tracking, and AI-powered reporting for business intelligence.

### How It Connects to Pixfizz

OrderHub pulls product data directly from your Pixfizz site. Products, pricing, variants, and options all come from a single database in Pixfizz Core. When you update a product in Pixfizz, OrderHub reflects the change.

Status updates flow both ways — when you mark an order as shipped in OrderHub, the status updates in Pixfizz Core automatically.

### Not Just Pixfizz

OrderHub is not limited to Pixfizz orders. It has been connected to other point-of-sale systems (including Square and Lightspeed) and can accept orders from multiple sources into a single production queue.
