# Getting Started with OrderHub

This guide walks through the initial setup of OrderHub, from logging in to configuring your first production processes.

***

### Logging In

OrderHub uses passwordless authentication.

1. Go to your OrderHub login page.
2. Enter your email address.
3. Check your inbox for a verification code.
4. Enter the code to sign in.

### Organization Settings

Every OrderHub setup has an **organization**, which is your top-level account. One organization can contain multiple brands (stores).

To review your organization settings, go to **Settings > General**.

Key settings include:

* **Organization ID** — used for API connections. Note this for later.
* **Brand name** — the name shown in the interface and on customer-facing communications.
* **Measurement units** — metric or imperial.
* **Timezone and date format** — affects the production board timeline and all timestamps.
* **Auto-apply PDF templates** — controls whether job tickets use your configured PDF templates automatically.

#### Custom Job Statuses

You can create up to two custom job statuses for the production board. These appear as additional columns on the Kanban board.

Examples of custom statuses:

* "Design Service" — for non-printing jobs like design work or retouching
* "Outsourced" — for jobs sent to an external provider

To configure, go to **Settings > General** and find the **Custom Job Status** fields.

### Setting Up Processes

Processes represent the different departments or workflows in your production environment. Each process has its own section on the production board.

Go to **Settings > Processes** to manage them.

Common processes include:

* General lab prints
* Dye sub
* Film processing
* Wide format
* Hard goods
* Photo restoration

#### For each process, you can configure:

* **Name and description**
* **Badge color** — for visual identification on the board
* **Operating days** — which days of the week this department runs (e.g. Monday to Friday)
* **Lead time** — how many days this process typically takes. This affects the timeline view on the production board.
* **OrderHub Desktop** — enable or disable whether jobs in this process are sent to the desktop app for download
* **Accepted artwork types** — restrictions on file formats

### Setting Up Locations

A location represents a physical production site. Go to **Settings > Locations**.

Each location has:

* **Store ID and Location ID** — used by OrderHub Desktop and the API
* **Active/inactive toggle**
* **Film scan upload permission** — enable or disable per location
* **Default devices**
* **Address** (optional)

**Important:** You can only have one OrderHub Desktop installation per location.

***

### Branding

Go to **Settings > Branding** to configure:

* Logos for dark and light backgrounds
* Custom messaging for download pages and gallery pages
* Custom domain for customer-facing gallery and download pages

***

### Notifications

Go to **Settings > Notifications** to configure customer email notifications.

**Important:** If you are also sending transactional emails from Pixfizz Core (order confirmed, order shipped, etc.), avoid sending duplicate notifications. A common approach is to keep the order confirmation email in Pixfizz Core and handle all production-stage notifications (in production, ready for pickup, shipped) from OrderHub.

### Storage

Go to **Settings > Storage** to configure file storage for film scans and file uploads.

You can either:

* Use your own Amazon S3 bucket
* Use Pixfizz-hosted storage (charged separately)
