# Choose Your Path

### Deployment Options

Pixfizz is modular. You can use it as a complete commerce platform or integrate specific capabilities into your existing stack. The two most common deployment models are Shopify + Pixfizz and Full Pixfizz, but the platform also supports custom API integrations and marketplace connections.

### Shopify + Pixfizz

In this model, Shopify manages your storefront, checkout, and commerce operations. Pixfizz handles personalization, product configuration, and order management.

**Best for businesses that:**

* Already run on Shopify
* Have a significant investment in their Shopify store
* Want to add advanced personalization without migrating commerce platforms
* Want to extend their existing capabilities rather than replace them

**How it works:**

* Shopify handles: storefront, checkout, commerce management
* Pixfizz handles: personalization, product configuration, order management
* Orders originate in Shopify and are ingested into Pixfizz via webhooks
* Production assets are generated and routed through OrderHub

### Full Pixfizz

In this model, Pixfizz provides the entire commerce stack — from the customer-facing storefront through to production and fulfillment.

**Best for businesses that:**

* Are building a new personalized product business from scratch
* Have existing infrastructure that struggles with personalization complexity
* Want tighter integration between the storefront and production workflows
* Want a platform purpose-built for personalized commerce

**How it works:**

* Pixfizz handles: storefront (via Shopper or custom frontend), checkout, personalization, order management, production workflows
* All four platform layers (Personalization, Commerce, Workflow, Website) are active
* The storefront, personalization, and production pipeline are tightly integrated

### Custom API Integration

If you run on a platform other than Shopify — or have a custom-built storefront — you can integrate Pixfizz's personalization and fulfillment engines directly via the API. This gives you full control over the frontend experience while leveraging Pixfizz for what it does best.

**Best for businesses that:**

* Run on a non-Shopify eCommerce CMS (e.g. WooCommerce, Magento, custom-built)
* Have development resources to manage the integration
* Want to embed Pixfizz personalization into an existing customer journey

### Marketplace Integration

Pixfizz can also connect to online marketplaces like Etsy, enabling personalized product sales through existing marketplace storefronts.

**Best for businesses that:**

* Sell personalized products through marketplaces
* Want to manage personalization and production through Pixfizz while selling on third-party channels

### Still Not Sure?

Here are some quick signals to help you decide:

**Choose Shopify + Pixfizz if:** you have an established Shopify store with existing traffic and customers, your team is comfortable managing Shopify themes and settings, and you primarily need to add personalization to an existing product range.

**Choose Full Pixfizz if:** you're starting fresh or replacing an aging platform, you want one system managing the entire customer-to-production pipeline, or you need deep control over the storefront experience for personalized products.

**Choose Custom API Integration if:** you run on a non-Shopify eCommerce platform and want to keep it, you have a custom-built storefront and want to add personalization, or you need to embed Pixfizz capabilities into a specific customer journey.

**Choose Marketplace Integration if:** you sell personalized products on Etsy or similar marketplaces, or you want marketplace orders to flow into the same production pipeline as your direct sales.
